The AGDC Pitch to Publishers Day provides a great opportunity for emerging, small and established developers to pitch a game concept to publishers. All meetings will be private.
Meeting Eligibility
Meetings are open to all Australian and New Zealand game development studios.
All game development studios are eligible to submit a short concept proposal. All submissions will be provided directly to publishers attending the AGDC. Publishers will identify and arrange meetings with those companies they wish to meet. A meeting schedule for room bookings will be made available on the AGDC website from Tuesday, 22 November 2005. Bookings can be made up to C.O.B, Wednesday, 30 November 2005, subject to room availability.
Australian and New Zealand game development studios must be willing to supply and setup their own computer hardware and software for all Pitch to Publisher meetings.
All meetings with publishers will be 20 minutes long with a 10 minute break between each meeting.
Two private meeting areas will be available for concurrent meetings.
Cost to Participate
The cost to participate in the AGDC Pitch to Publishers Day is:
AUD$300
Only those game development studios who secure appointments with participating publishers will be invoiced for the above amount.
Applications for the AGDC Pitch to Publishers Day are now invited. Applications close on 9.00am, Monday, 21 November 2005.
Teams must submit the following information online

2. Project Outline
- a ) Brief description of your project (Concept outline:
one paragraph)
- b ) Project Plan (200 word description)
This should include the following areas:
- Platform suitability (innovation, game modes, longevity,
features etc)
- Graphical effects and visual appeal (variety, style, effects,
animation etc)
- Innovative features (control, audio, structuring,
effects etc)
- Gameplay features (collectibles, difficulty,
modes of play, connectivity)
- Game dynamics (physics, AI,
interaction, cameras etc)
- Control method (use of Analog,
Peripherals, functionality, ergonomics etc)
- Game structure
(level design, rewards, presentation etc)
- Suitability to
market (theme, licence, genre, demographic appeal)
- Project
team: experience/track record, previous titles staff have
directly been involved with
- Other (video and/or code)
All meetings with publishers will be 20 minutes long with a 10
minute break between each meeting.
Applications close 9:00am Monday, 21 November 2005.
Publishers will be able to confirm meetings via the Meeting Room
