ScreenACT is the ACT Government Office of Film, Television and Digital Media. It is part of BusinessACT, the business development arm of the ACT Department of Economic Development and is charged with implementing policy initiatives for developing the screen industries in the ACT.
ScreenACT's vision is to make Canberra and the surrounding region a centre of creative convergence with a strong and innovative screen industry cluster and supportive culture of creativity that contributes to the life and vitality of the Nation's Capital. To realise this vision, ScreenACT is dedicated to assisting and developing the film, television and digital media industry sectors in the ACT and region.
Canberra has a concentration of creative talent and expertise spanning different mediums, media, technologies and applications. It has a growing computer games industry that has gained national attention and is generating significant export earnings.
