COOPERATION AND DEVELOPMENT BETWEEN OCEANIA AND ASIAN ENTERPRISESInteractive Entertainment Events, organisers of the former Australian Game Developers Conference, will be hosting an invitation only forum in January 2007 to facilitate cooperation and development between Oceania and Asian Enterprises. A hand picked selection of Game Developers and industry representatives from Australia and NewZealand will have the invaluable opportunity to meet with Mr Kou Xiao Wei, Deputy Director, Audiovisual-Electronic and Internet Publishing Department, General Administration of Press and Publication of the Peoples' Republic of China at the Forum. Interactive Entertainment Events is excited at the opportunity to host Mr Kou, during his visit to Australia, where he will speak at the forum about the experience and policy of the Chinese government when managing the game industry , and also the current development situation of the Chinese game industry. John De Margheriti, Chairman of the Academy of Interactive Entertainment Ltd stated that "Mr Kou's visit places us in good stead to push Australia's cooperations with China and the Chinese Government. Rarely do such unique opportunities come along, and the forum we are hosting will maximise any potential for these future cooperations." John De Margheriti will also lead a round table discussion where he will share his experiences with outsourcing in Asia and call upon other invitees to share their outsourcing experiences with the invited group of industry CEO's.
